Florida Stilt Houses

Check these out! These are the stilt houses outside Port Richey, Florida. I think they are pretty cool. People own them, but they have to lease the rights to keep them from the county. they used to be on 90-year leases, but are now transformed into a 25-year lease. A really crappy rule is that if these houses are damaged in a storm, it’s hard to get permits for restoring them. If they are destroyed to more than 50%, you aren’t allowed to restore at all but have to take them down. Kind of sucks as several ones has been removed, which feels unnecessary. They do come up for sale occasionally and tends to run between $100 000 and $200 000. Pretty well priced, giving the potential return as holiday rentals. I made a video with my drone, check it out and let me know what you think!
